Willy Drinkwater, LADC-I, CADAC II


Willy has over seventeen years experience working as an Addiction Specialist at facilities across the greater Boston area. Including CASPAR in Somerville (now defunct), Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose, Arbour-HRI in Brookline and currently he is employed by the Cambridge Health Alliance. He specializes in motivational/educational presentations to the dual-diagnosed patients. In addition, Willy also provides education and support for the families and friends of the patients. He is a listed speaker for the National Collegiate Athletic Association, (Drug, Alcohol, & Stress Issues), and, a speaker for DBSA, (Depression, Bipolar, Support Alliance), the local chapter being MDDA at McLean Hospital in Belmont). In 2007, he presented at the 30th Annual Harvard Medical School/Cambridge Hospital’ Treating the Addictions.  His topic was: “Relapse Warning Signs, Past Views, Present Views.” Prior to entering the field of Mental Health, Willy was a Stand-Up Comedian and Comedy Writer/Voice Talent for the “Big Mattress” morning show on WBCN-FM in Boston during the Charles Laquadara era.
